PineCone on Rapid Creeks' Amalswinth "Millie"

Millie is a beautiful flashy fawn that is a 75% "European" boxer.  She is quite driven and eager to please which has made her a real pleasure to have around the home with us.  She has all of the usual boxer playfulness that we love and is a great companion.  Millie comes from a long line of well bred dogs that have had proper health testing to ensure that the line is producing high quality and healthy dogs.  Millie is ARVC clear and is a heterozygous carrier for only a single copy of the DM mutation.  With this information we can select the appropriate stud dogs to ensure that Millie's offspring will be clear of risk from DM and ARVC.

If you aren't familiar with the differences between the American and European boxer breed types there is a lot of information/opinions available with some simple internet searching.  From a conformation standpoint the European type dogs will be a heavier "blocky" built dog to coincide with the original working purposes of the breed.  The American type dogs tend to be a sleeker/slender more elegant build.  From a temperament standpoint the generally accepted differences are that European dogs tend to be less hyper and quicker to train as their breeding is closer to the original working dog characteristics.  We love all boxers and have owned both American and European type dogs.  Our experience with the differences between the types of boxers is consistent with what you'll find in an internet search.
